Thank you for your comments.
We are working towards completing the project within the next five years. Ideally it will be complete by 2015 however it is heavily reliant on securing grants from external funding sources.

Ellenbrook NEEDS an indoor & outdoor large Pools. It is a couple of degrees hotter here in the Summer & Midland is to far to drive.
I think one or two of the other items could be dropped to help financialy to fund the Pools. Please do a survey of the people of Ellenbrook I think thats what you will find they need & want
:-)

We need a not for profit Childcare centre / family centre. Fees are kept low to help reduce the financial pressure that all families are feeling. I'm over the limited choice we have in Ellenbrook.
On another note I do love the idea of pools after working with kids in this area they are always saying pools and movies are needed and were VERY disapointed in the water playground and state swim.
After visiting volcano park in Belmont I thought that is a great set up you have the indoor pools on one side and a great outdoor area for all ages. I think our water playground could be extended to also include equipment like the Belmont idea.

Thank you for your comments.
There is a Children Services area proposed for NESEC which will include a creche and indoor play area.
With regards to an outdoor area, an outdoor youth space is currently going through the planning stages to be located on the eastern side of NESEC.

I am concerned over the lack of parking in the area. As a resident of Bordeaux Lane, my worst fear is that the street turns into a car park with people parking between the trees or if they decide on parking areas along the road. It is such a busy road already, can only imagine the amount of accidents.
Agree with the pool but feel that we are beating our heads against brick walls in fighting for it.

Thank you for your post. With regards to the parking, the whole hub (playing fields included) is proposed to have 370 bays provided. Based on Industry Trends, the hub will require approxmiately 390 bays - this shortfall will be assisted by parking at the proposed future highschool outside of school hours.
There have been preliminary planning for a leisure centre a Regional facility in Whiteman Park. At this stage there is no indication as to when this reqional facility will be constructed.

Would be great to include a playground for siblings/children, would like to see a few toilet blocks so younger players needing the toilet dont have to run all the way to the main building and back.

They will be taken into consideration as part of the City's planning for the playing fields.

Please Survey the people of Ellenbrook & Surrounds. I am sure above many things you have listed a Pool is the most wanted & needed. A Hydro excercise attactment for the disabled & elderly population to use.

The NESEC sounds a bit over the top and dare I say, it a white elephant that will stand empty 5 days a week.
We need a leisure centre that will be used by families every day and has its already been said it's always a couple of degrees hotter in Ellenbrook than Perth. It's alright to quote statistics but why not be proactive and build one now, to encourage families to move into Ellenbrook.
It will be like the road system farce, do nothing until there is complete congestion or the public transport saga, don't build a train line until the population increases, why not get the infrastructure built before there is a desperate need. Be proactive and for once get the facilities in when we need them not in the distant future.
